Gynecomastia
Gynecomastia or excessive breast development in males is a common condition during adolescence that usually resolves with time. In excessive or persistent cases the tissue can be treated surgically. This is usually with a combination of direct excision via a scar around the nipple and suction assisted lipectomy through a small (1/4 inch) separate incision at the base of the breast. Scars are usually minimal and satisfaction with this procedure is high. In more severe cases with excessive loose tissue it is necessary to remove skin and this can result in more significant scars.
